At Phobos, we are a tight-knit team dedicated to creating a unique and memorable game - Cloudburst. We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Environment Art Intern to join us on our thrilling journey, working with the power of Unreal Engine 5. This internship position offers a hands-on opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment.


Responsibilities:

🌳 Assist in the creation of an open world environment, ranging from sprawling landscapes to intimate interior spaces.
🎨 Collaborate closely with our art team to bring game concepts to life through asset creation and world-building.
🔧 Implement and iterate on environmental assets using UE5 tools and pipelines.
📐 Maintain a high level of artistic quality and consistency throughout the game.

Requirements

🚌 As this is not a remote position candidates should be able to commute to our office located in New Belgrade.

📅This is a six-month internship opportunity, and selected candidates will be expected to commit to the full duration of the program.

Desired qualities:

🖌️ Basic knowledge of Unreal Engine and some industry-standard 3D modelling and texturing software (such as Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter, or equivalent).
🌍 Strong understanding of environmental design principles and composition. Good eye for details.
🎮 Passion for games and a solid understanding of how environmental art contributes to the overall player experience.
💡 Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to give and receive feedback effectively.
🎓 Artistic background as a student (Game art and design, Animation, Photography, Architecture, Fine arts…)
